She watched us breath, saw us burn
I didn't mean to do the last thing
I only wake to watch the sun burn
I know it's over when the music begins
They reached for you now you're bound to look back
I never hide behind a false smile
Not out loud, under the ground
Clawing for air can I breathe for a while?
You built us on a landslide
You built us on a landslide
The tide comes in, strips the frame
The river flows but it never rains
It all falls in, washed away
Don't understand where the feelings stray
Far from me but you can't be blamed
Delicate princess turn me away
Eyes don't mean that much to this
'Cause I'm digging the dirt but I won't get in
Hide and seek where the vitriol breeds
Words of anger still hammering me
Can't be seen with the likes of me
'Cause you've done too much and I can see
You built us on a landslide
You built us on a landslide
Moon chapters hide the laughter
The sun sets but it's not on me
My chances come too often
They fall, left, but it's not to be
Dust will gather - mountains will fall
Dust will gather - mountains will fall
"Another Jolliffe-inspired band effort that rightfully became our last recording at Walnut Bank in February 1994. The recording has an 80's feel to it with all the brass and shuffles going on. We should've sent this to more companies, but by this time everyone was feeling a bit weary of it all. The end was lurking over the hill, unfortunately. It was a shame really, because our best four or five songs came along right at the end."
